Outkast- ATLiens
Before Outkast got big and released hits like "Aquemini" and "Stankonia", they dropped this gem of an album. "ATLiens" has been my jam for the past few weeks now. It's a great album, featuring top notch rapping and dope jazzy beats. The first five or six songs are perfect, but really the entire album is awesome. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen. ATLiens 13th Floor Buy this shit. You'll be glad you did. Electric Wizard- Dopethrone
I apologize for the rather long delay. It's been a while since anything has been uploaded... To kick things off, here's stoner/doom metal band, Electric Wizard. This is probably their most acclaimed album. Expect heavy riffage and tons of Black Sabbath worship. The vocals could probably be better, but it's not that big of a deal. What it lacks in the vocals department, it makes up with sheer noise and heaviness. Best listened to with a nice pair of headphones or speakers, and probably after smoking a joint. This is stoner metal after all. I, the Witchfinder Vinum Sabbathi Enjoooooooooy. Or better yet... buy it
The Dirty Projectors- Rise Above
Interesting concept album... an attempt to recreate Black Flag's famous album, Damaged. As a Black Flag fan, I had to check it out. It's not quite exactly what I was expecting, but that doesn't mean it isn't good. Just different. Way different (and that's probably because I don't even listen to the Dirty Projectors). Anyways, this stuff is pretty mellow and the vocals are nice unlike the usual Black Flagish stuff. What I See Rise Above Buy it. Disclaimer: Hasn't changed.
