DJ of the FortnightSurreal and grisly, Monstrous Wickedness provides a vile descent into the deepest trenches of dub, funk, bass, and droned-out techno. Like a musical re-interpretation of the entire Twilght Zone series, this is stuff for late nights (which is why you'll often see Mr. Meyer scurrying around the station at ungodly hours doing who-knows-what). DJ Phil is quite the craftsman; scrutinizing over his playlists like a true artist to make a show he (and the rest of KXSC) is proud of, week after week, without fail. It's dark, cryptic, and often steers you in a rather confusing direction. But late on a Tuesday night, in a shadowy smoke-filled room, Monstrous Wickedness makes all the sense in the world. So if you've ever wondered what darkness sounds like when no one's around to hear it, tune in on Tuesday nights at 11 PM with DJ of the Fortnight, Philip Meyer.
