Show Reviews: Titus Andronicus
Titus Andronicus plays rock and roll music. They played rock and roll music at El Rey last week and I was there. Good times were had, as evidenced in the following video:
And this is what I really appreciate about this band. With three guitars and rarely more than three chords strummed loud and fast, they make a powerful and unpretentious musical statement that makes me dance and sing along and feel good.
They played some new stuff, and they played a lot of my favorite tunes from my favorite Titus album. Like this one:
(Thanks to whoever filmed these. If you want to see more of this show, or videos of that Dan Deacon show that Zach reviewed the other week, check it out)
In conclusion, Patrick Stickles is a straight-up genius, Titus Andronicus forever, the enemy is everywhere, and Pete, get off the stage dude!
